“We were going to do a tour with a company, but it was going to cost about $1000 for our family of 5- so we decided to rent a Jeep Wrangler and get this guide- and I’m so glad we did! The experience was incredible and the app made it easy to go at our own pace. The narration was very good, the driving music was very pleasant and we loved it. We used a dash/ window mount to hold my phone at eye level so we could see the GPS and the Bluetooth connected the sound to the car so everyone could hear the audio. Shaka Guide was excllent…”

“Unfortunately unusable for us. The audio guide requires a separate "redeem code", which is not included in anything Viator sends. In the instructions there's a line saying you have to email or call for the code. I ordered and emailed the night before a sunrise visit, and they didn't email back until 9am when we were already done. There is basically no reason to buy this through Viator. It just adds a middle-man and complication. The vendor obviously is doing this as a sort of advertising mechanism, but it's not well implemented at all.
